Tally Money Mastercard Design
My digital illustration for Tally Money is titled 'State of Flow'. It features TallyMoney's familiar colour palette with a textural element to represent rows of physical gold and to remind viewers that money in a TallyMoney Account is not merely a digital creation but backed by something tangible and of real value.
The flowing shapes and fluidity of the design works to cement TallyMoney as not just a bank challenger but as a movement, taking on inflation and unreliable banking systems.

The work was chosen as part of a design competition run by Tally Money. I was one of 4 students (from across the world) to have their work chosen for the Art Card range. I was interviewed about this work which was featured in Brighton & Hove's The Argus

DETAIL

Part of my process in designing the Tally Money card design. I created a palette utilising all the main colours they use across their online presence/ in their brand to then use as a springboard to create the composition.

One of my alternative designs which features circular shapes. This composition was more designed and the rectangles lined up with the Mastercard logo and the Tally logo too. Tally decided to go with the more straight forward State of Flow idea rather than this alternative composition. When I share work with clients, I will often give them a choice of different compositions.

Gold alternative colourised version of the design to fit with the fact that through Tally you essentially hold and pay with gold held in Swiss vaults.

MY PROCESS
As part of my submission, I also shared my process of designing the Art Card 'State of Flow' as a PDF presentation to display my thinking and how the work came about from initial inspiration to final outcome (I have deducted the screens showing the final work for this context).
